报告摘要:Transmission of deadly infectious diseases such as Ebola, SARS, and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has been known in healthcare facilities for decades. Many technologies and textile materials have been developed. However, with the current best personal protective equipment (PPE), infection rates of healthcare workers by the most contagious diseases are still very high. Therefore, the protection of healthcare workers is still an urgent issue and has been realized by infection control community. This presentation will discuss the desired biocidal functions of textiles and proper technologies that can meet the requirements in protection of these biological agents, as well as future directions in the research area.
