报告简介:

Synaesthesia is a rare phenomenon found in a subset of otherwise healthy observers. Here specific sensations seem to elicit an additional perceptual quality (e.g. that letters have colours). Synaesthesia can take many forms and it is still unclear why some people are synaesthetes and others are not, and how synaesthesia emerge in the first place. Some have suggested that synaesthetic associations can be made from external associations like playing with coloured toy magnets (Witthoft&Winawer, 2006). In recent years converging evidence lend increasing support that synaesthesia develops gradually (Sorensen, Nordfang, &ásgeirsson, 2016), and may in fact have similarities to the effects modulated by expertise.
