The purpose of this course is to make students understand  the classification, application and performance requirements of the technical textiles, to master the  properties of commonly used technical fibers, basic design idea and processing technology of technical fiber products, all kinds of technical textiles and their applications, and in doing so, help them widen their scope of professional knowledge.

本课是纺织工程学科的重要专业基础课，程旨在使学生了解产业用纺织品的分类、应用和性能，使学生掌握常用产业用纤维的性能，产业用纤维产品的基本设计理念和加工技术，各种产业用纺织品以及它们的应用，在此过程中，帮助他们拓展专业知识面。
