This course is an important fundamental specialty course. It provides a necessary foundation for learning such courses as manufacturing technology of fibers and fiber goods, modification technology of fibers, characterization technology of fibers. This course studies the structure and properties of fibers, yarns and fabrics, explains the structure and properties of fibers and fiber assemblies and the relationship between procesing technology and formation. By having this course, students can grasp the basic theory of textile material science and relevant knowledge of production technology and lay a good foundation for the research and development of textile new products and design of textile processing technology.
