Textile chemistry is professional basic course and one of main courses of Textile Engineering. This course mainly introduces chemistry knowledge related to textile engineering including fiber chemistry, chemistry related to textile agents, and water treatment in textile industry, to undergraduate students majoring in Textile Engineering. The main aim of this course is to help students, who study professional courses and are going to be engaged in the research and development of textile materials, textiles, textile chemistry materials, and textile technologies in the future, lay a necessary chemistry foundation. This course requires students to grasp: the structure and properties of textile fibers; basic concepts, application principals of surfactants, and some important textile agents; the structure and properties of textile sizes and adhesives, some important textile sizes; the requirements of textile industry for water, the principals of water and wastewater treatment; chemistry knowledge in textile processing.

      纺织应用化学是非织造工程专业的专业基础课，也是非织造专业的主干课程。通过这门课程主要向学生传授与非织造工程有关的化学知识，包括各种纤维化学、助剂化学以及纺织工业中的水处理等问题。为学生学习专业课和今后从事非织造材料工艺打好必要的化学基础。要求掌握各类纺织纤维的结构与性能（重点在化学结构）；掌握表面活性剂的基本概念、应用原理及重要的纺织助剂；掌握非织造工业对水的要求及用水、废水处理原理；了解非织造加工中的有关化学知识。
