The course is to introduce the knowledge on the literature retrieval,to teach how to search and obtain the information, and train the information quality of students simultaneously, to cultivate the information literacy of the students and play important role in improving their intelligence consciousness and ability. The course includes three parts, the first part is the basic knowledge,method and theory of literature retrieval; the second part is the introduction and use of the main Chinese database including CNKI, wanfang data, VIP, Apabi,etc; the third part is the introduction and use of the main English database including Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, EI, Inspec, EBSCO etc

通过本课程的教学，向学生介绍文献情报及其检索的有关常识及一般理论，使学生明确文献情报与教学，科研的关系。增强学生的情报意识，熟悉几种重要的检索工具，并掌握其检索方法，为今后的工作中的文献情报工作打下好基础。
